Intro
Riverlight Festival is a free, community-led arts celebration in Sleaford that brings the town's rural heritage and local folklore to life. The 2025 edition centered on Circles, Cycles and the Summer Solstice—drawing from medieval water mills, seasonal rhythms, and the area's agricultural roots. Working with Ashleigh Armitage, I created charcoal illustrations and animations of waterwheels, suns, and circles that captured the festival's folk spirit and cyclical themes. The hand-drawn aesthetic felt grounded and tactile—connecting to traditional craft while working across digital formats. The visuals were used across event materials and social content, then used for screen printing workshops run by Dizzy Ink, turning the festival's identity into something the community could make and take home.
